Hi, I would like to put a line on today's intra day chart that shows yesterday's daily high and low. How would I go about coding that? I've never coded anything in Sierra before. Thanks |

Thank you for this. I believe it's what I wanted. Now I'm trying to change the line to a dot or a dash (anything but a solid line) and it won't change. I've tried Dot and Dash-Dot-Dot in the Line Style but it remains a solid line. What am I doing wrong?

Not Sure, you shouldn't have any problems with that, but i use point width 2 or 3.

Yeah, I have a 2 width also. I wanted to use the same colors as my pivots but I wanted something more noticeable than line width in case they aren't both showing at the same time. Thanks for your help. Maybe Sierra will still answer this one as to how to change the way the line is displayed.

You will need to change the Draw Style setting to something other than Line. In the case of a study Subgraph with a Draw Style of Line, changing the Line Style to something other than Solid may not have any visible effect when the chart bar spacing is very small and the width is 2 or greater because each segment of the line is drawn independently and each segment of it may appear solid since it is very short which can effectively create a solid line. A solution to this is to change the Draw Style to Point or something similar. Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. Other responses are from users. Draw Style is set to Dash and Line Style is Dot. I zoomed it down to only 5 candles on the chart, got my magnifying glass out (literally) and still a solid line. Any other thoughts?

Really the only solution is to use Point for the Draw Style. Whatever you see is going to be the result based upon the width and the bar spacing and just how the operating system is drawing the lines. This is not something we can control.
