Hello,

I have a data feed through AMP with CME data connected to SC. I am wanting to operate this on a second PC that I have. Can I set the systems to 2, or because it's connected through CQG it won't allow a second? If so, how do I activate a non-CQG data feed option and utilize the Denali exchange. I'm assuming it would be the $69 feed, but would I need to set the systems to 2 on this?

Thank you,

Jon

We see that you have setup the Denali Exchange Data Feed and set the option to have 2 systems for the CME Group and CFE data. Therefore, you should be fine now, at least with respect to this data.

We also see that you have had the CBOE Indices and U.S. Equities exchanges active as part of the Sierra Chart Exchange Data Feed. Keep in mind that the exchange on the Sierra Chart Exchange Data Feed does not have the option to connect to 2 different computers at the same time. So the data from these exchanges can only go to one computer or the other.

We are still working on getting the consolidated tape information for our NASDAQ TotalView exchange on our Denali Exchange Data feed. Hopefully we will have this soon, and then you can stop using the Sierra Chart Exchange Data Feed and be able to get the rest of your data to the two systems simultaneously.

Hello,

I have CQG data through an approved broker. But when I try to log in with my other computer it gives me an error that I am logged out due to a concurrent session. Do I need to activate a different data feed or am I doing something incorrectly with my current feed to accomplish having 2 instances of sierra running 1 each on different computers? I am trying to have one on my desktop and one on my laptop.

Thanks for all your help,

Jon

It probably will be cheaper and a lot less headache to just install one single copy of SC with a single data feed on a VPS.
Then you can access that VPS with as many computers you want, from anywhere.

This is a CQG limitation:

Who is the broker and what exchanges are you trading?
