Hi, Is there any way for a stop order to be triggered only when the bar CLOSES beyond it.... so evaluated only at bar close? Right now if the stop is touched or crossed intrabar, the order is sent, whereas I would prefer to remain in trade until bar closes beyond it. Date Time Of Last Edit: 2023-02-16 10:36:08

You could use a Spreadsheet Study for Trading with Buy Exit and Sell Exit formulas that trigger at the desired level or beyond.

Hi. I would like this feature as well. One thing is using a spreadsheet study with a fixed rule for stop, it's another thing completely to trail the stop manually on screen. Date Time Of Last Edit: 2024-10-14 21:11:14

A bit of background: I’m trading breakouts and i enter when bar closes above certain price. It would save a lot of time if I could set triggered buy stop at that price that only triggers when the bar closes above it. And same with stop, client side triggered market stop, but only when the bar closes below my stop price. I think that this could be a new client-managed order type: Triggered market stop on close I’m able to make this work using two horizontal line drawings and 4x trading system based on alert condition studies, but it’s not the same as using the mouse and attached orders.
