SC takes long to switch between DOM charts and screen flickers

When I switch from one DOM window to another, SC flickers and takes about 8-12 seconds. No issue for regular charts. Computer is fast with nvidia RTX 3080, 80G RAM and M2 SSD. I was not trading for few months and I never had this issue before. Is something changed that causing this problem? What am I doing wrong? in other words, How can I fix this? Thanks, User396 |

We did have an issue with OpenGL a few releases ago that could be related to this (we do not know for sure). Please update to the latest release (or Pre-Release) and see if you continue to have the same issue.

Thank you, John. fyi: It is definitely better than previous version but it still take little longer than version I had few months back. now it takes about 5-7 seconds to switch. |

This sounds like an Operating System issue, as the process of showing/hiding windows is all done through the Operating System. Have you rebooted your system recently? If not, then we recommend doing so, and then starting Sierra Chart by itself (avoid starting any other unnecessary programs) and see it makes any difference.

No this is not related to OpenGL. This relates to the users system. Flickering and a brief a flash of blue or white when a window appears is strictly a garbage Windows operating system problem. Unfortunately this problem has not resolved. Currently I am using separate instance of SC and it works flawlessly. I think there are some changes in settings which cause this problem. I would like to resolve this issue of unusual delays. There is no flicker with this version. I have 100s of firefox tabs opened and 10s of other applications. I do not see any noticeable delay when I switch in and out of these applications including SC. I have SC with 5+ chartbooks and as many as 25 charts. There is no delay when I switch between chartbooks or charts. Only for the DOM chartbooks. What are the processes run when DOM get focused or defocused? which settings affect them? Usually this is the result, of a lot of time with drawing of charts/Trading DOMs. So increasing the Chart Update Interval will make a difference.
