Issues with CME session times & Global Symbol Settings

Hi Sierra, I'm trying to display the correct session times for CME GROUP future contracts ES, NQ & YM. 1) In the Global Symbol Settings, after I "update from the server" : - the end of session is set to 15 min after the cash session close (this is not the case on CME website) - YM settings are different than ES & NQ, and RTH & overnight session overlap (didn't see any such times on CME website) Is there anything I can do to retrieve the correct CME session times ? 2) Consequently, I've changed the Global Symbol Settings according to current session times from CME (cash & overnight). But in my charts, after I click "Apply Global Symbol Settings", session times are not always updated. This results in a random result and I have to double-check all my charts. It's time consuming, and i'm not sure i can really trust my charts (currently i double-check with TradingView to ensure my charts are ok...). Is there any simple and reliable way to ensure I have, basically, the correct CME RTH & ETH sessions on my charts ? What is your advice ? |

You need to do what you have done - edit the Global Symbol Settings for the instruments and ensure they are set the way you want. Make sure the option at the top of the Symbol Settings window for Use Custom Symbol Settings Values is enabled. From there, you should not get inconsistent results. The other - simpler - option is to use a "Chart Template" that has the Session Times as you want for the CME Group and then duplicate that chart and change the symbol.
