Greetings,

I would like to know if it is a must to have an LMAX real account to receive real time volume data for FX trading. Could you please confirm this for me? In additon for indices, especially SPX500 which is the best data provider that you would suggest for volume profile data? And also for equities, I'm mainly interested in TSLA. Thanks in advance.

Kind regards,

No:
I would like to know if it is a must to have an LMAX real account to receive real time volume data for FX trading.

Instead use this data feed:
Sierra Chart Real Time and Historical Forex and CFD Data Service

Use CME Futures data for this:
especially SPX500 which is the best data provider that you would suggest for volume profile data?

Use this data feed:
Denali Exchange Data Feed

And use the ES futures symbol.

And also for equities, I'm mainly interested in TSLA. Thanks in advance.
For now use NASDAQ TotalView data supported by the Denali Data Feed:
Denali Exchange Data Feed

And soon we will be offering the full consolidated tape data feed.

Thanks for your reply. For my question regarding FX & CFDs, I have researched FXCM data quality online, and have seen that the data feed comes with certain fallbacks. For example there is no DOM available. In addition, the following quote from your documentation worries me: "For every price change, the volume is incremented by 1. Therefore, it is not a true measure of actual trading volume. It only provides an indicative measure."

To add on, a competitor of Sierra Charts, MotiveWave, states in their documentation that the data feed coming from FXCM is not reliable for advanced volume analysis such as bid/ask or delta. If I were to indicate that I would like to get as close as possible to an accurate data steam, would you recommend LMAX or are you still sure that your suggested data feed will also do fine?

I'm sorry if my questions are basic knowledge to you, but I would really like to be sure that I obtain reliable information here.

Really for volume data we could only recommend Forex futures not any of the cash Forex markets.

You can test this with the delayed exchange Data Feed:
