Sierra Chart is a great platform! I like it so much. I trade different stocks everyday (Gappers etc.). I need to change the 'Trade/Quote Symbol' for every symbol to be able to trade it on IBKR. I change the settings via Global Settings > Symbol Settings > Symbol > Trade/Quote Symbol. The problem is if I for example set NVDA-STK-SMART/NASDAQ for NVDA and then switch to symbol AMD via find symbol, the chart remains AMD/NVDA-STK-SMART/NASDAQ until I set a Trade/Quote Symbol for AMD itself. Is there a settings that leaves the Trade/Quote symbol empty until I set something for it? |

Check to make sure that the option for Do Not Change Symbol Settings for Chart on Symbol Change is set to No. It sounds like this may be set to Yes, which would cause what you are seeing. Refer to the following: Chart Settings: Do Not Change Symbol Settings for Chart on Symbol Change (Chart >> Chart Settings >> Symbol >> Symbol Settings menu) For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service: Sierra Chart Teton Futures Order Routing |

I have set it to Yes but it still doesnt work. The header still shows AMD/NVDA-STK-SMART/NASDAQ.

You need to set this option to No in order for the Trade and Current Quote Symbol to be removed when you change symbols.

That also does not work. It is very frustating. For example I am changing many symbols today. It keeps that /NVDA-STK-SMART/NASDAQ. I look at CMMB now. The header is CMMB/NVDA-STK-SMART/NASDAQ. Thats a problem, because on the DOM you see the price area of CMMB, but the last traded price is at the price of NVDA.

I change the symbol through: 1. I click on the chart. then I go to File > Find Symbol. I type in CMMB-NQTV and click on Change Chart Symbol 2. I have the symbols in my watchlist as CMMB-NQTV, NVDA-NQTV, AAPL-NQTV etc. I have everything linked. So I just click on one on the watchlist. |

Make sure this is set to Yes: Chart Settings: Clear Trade and Current Quote Symbol on Symbol Change (Chart >> Chart Settings >> Trading menu) This will solve the problem.
