Hi,
I want to be able to draw something like the extending rectangle on the chart and have the name or value show up in the label column on the chart dom. It would also be nice if this worked for copied drawings as well.
Is this possible? If so, how do I do this?
Thanks

There is no support for drawings showing labels in the Label column.

To put a Label in the Label column, you need to use a study, such as the "Horizontal Lines" and then enable the Label options. Refer to the following:
Chart Studies: Subgraphs Tab >> Name and Value Labels

Or you could create a custom study that would take the value from a drawing and then put it into a Subgraph to be able to display in the Label Column. Refer to the information here:
Advanced Custom Study Interface and Language (ACSIL)
