I was making changes to my SC control bars and some changes to tools that I use. Instead of manually updating my laptop with the changes I made, I tried to just copy Sierra4.config file from my desktop and paste into my laptop and into C:>SierraChart>SierraChartTransActMA folder to make it easier. However that didn't work, and now it reverts to the default configuration that I think it comes with an original setup? Can you help me restore the settings?

You can definitely do what you are suggesting. Just make sure that you are taking the Sierra4.config file from the right location and putting it into the correct location.

To do this, within the Sierra Chart software, select Global Settings >> General Settings >> Paths and look at the path for the Data Files Folder. The correct Sierra4.config file should be one level up from that location. Do this in both the From and the To versions of the software to determine where to get the Sierra4.cfg file from and where to put it.
