Hi Tom and John I am completely stuck on trying to get an alert when the main price crosses a level in Region 1... in the same candle as the price for an overlayed study in region 2. =AND(CROSSFROMABOVE(C,ID19.SG3), CROSSFROMABOVE(ID1.SG4,ID5.SG3)) With ID1.SG4 being the low on the candle of the ES main price overlay - as I can't use C can I? I have tried using the price line of the ES study price overlay in region 2 but can't get it to work. I will add some [-1],[-2] etc. so that it looks over previous candles for the crossover in region 2 but can't figure out what I should use as the price in Region 2 instead of C. Much appreciated Cad |

Since you are using the Study/Price Overlay, you need to reference the Subgraph of the Study/Price Overlay study. From what you state above, you have things correct, as you use ID1.SG4 (although if you are overlaying bars, then SG4 should be the Close, not the Low).

Brilliant thank you. The issue I was having was my fault - I was just using a HL bar for the chart... copying over the settings from the original chart... so it didn't have OHLC... no close to use (called Last int his case)... I set it to OHLC bars and it's working. Thank you very much. Cad |
