I asked this question on the support board yesterday but haven't received an answer yet. My question is about CPU usage. I have several charts in the chartbook and indicators on the charts like Volume Profile, TWAP, VWAP, High, LOW and so on. What is better to load my CPU as little as possible: If I put these indicators in EVERY chart or just put the indicators in ONE chart and then use "Study/Price Overlay" to apply them to the other charts? They suggested 2 instances but that doesn't work because I only have one monitor and do my trades in the footprint. But I also need these indicators there. I also need drawn lines and rectangles in the footprint chart, but these are not transferred to the 2nd instance. Please simply answer the question: In each chart the studies or in one chart and transfer to the other charts with "Study Price Overlay". Thanks. Thanks. |

Depending on the complexity, the source study is likely to use more CPU time than the Study/Price Overlay study. You can look at the number of ms for each study in the Study Settings window. If you are not taking advantage of multiple cores by using additional instances, then you should look for a computer that has a low number of cores, and a higher speed per core. It would probably cost less to add monitors and instances. You could even use a 4K TV to give more real estate on one screen at a lower cost than dedicated monitors. |

It is best to put the studies in each chart not use the Study/Price Overlay study.
