Hello! Is it possible to auto refresh the Bid and Ask volume after X seconds on the Sierra DOM? i tried to find some setting but haven‘t had success with it. I‘m sorry if this question has come up more often. |

If you are asking about the main Bid and Ask volumes (not the Recent or Current) then the only way to do this would be to slow down the update frequency of the chart/trade dom. Refer to the information for the Chart Update Interval: Chart Settings: Chart Update Interval in Milliseconds (Chart >> Chart Settings >> Display >> Chart Update Interval menu) Just keep in mind that doing the above will affect all updates to the chart/trade dom so you probably do not want to do this. If you are asking about the Recent/Current Bid/Ask columns, then there are options under the Trade menu to reset the Recent/Current Bid/Ask Columns. Refer to the following: Trade Menu: Clear Recent Bid/Ask Volume (Trade menu) And finally, there are a few settings that apply to the Recent/Current Bid/Ask columns in terms of clearing some data. Refer to the following settings: Global Trade Settings Windows: Clear Current Bid/Ask Volume on New Position (Global Settings >> Chart DOM Settings >> Other >> Other Settings) Global Trade Settings Windows: Reset Recent Bid/Ask Volume on Bid/Ask Change (Global Settings >> Chart DOM Settings >> Other >> Other Settings) For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service: Sierra Chart Teton Futures Order Routing |

Following up to this. I am also interested in seeing the Recent Bid Volume and Recent Ask Volume automatically reset. The way I have seen it work in other platforms is that the volume quantity at any price level will reset when price comes back to that level after the market price has been away for longer than X seconds. X can be set from 0 to 10,000 milliseconds.

For the Recent Bid/Ask volumes, the value will reset when the price comes back to a particular level. In addition, you can change the setting for "Global Settings >> Chart DOM Settings >> Other >> Recent Bid Ask Volume Timeout in Milliseconds" that works similar to what you state, but it is setting the amount of time for which the price returning will NOT cause a reset. Refer to the following: Global Trade Settings Windows: Recent Bid Ask Volume Timeout in Milliseconds (Global Settings >> Chart DOM Settings >> Other >> Other Settings) For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service: Sierra Chart Teton Futures Order Routing |
