I compared the on-balance volume for DNA between SierraChart and TradingView because bad data is surprisingly a real issue in this industry. The OBV between the two platforms was significantly off (SC being bullish and TV being bearish). On deeper inspection, the OBV in SC appears to be off because the volume in SC is off because the timeframe in SC is inconsistent. For example, on 23Mar2022 on a 240 minute chart, one candle starts at 8:00, the next candle starts at 9:30, followed by the next candle at 13:30 with volume being different between SC and BC. Last time I checked, there is 90 minutes between 8 and 9:30 instead of 240 minutes. Is there some special setting to give 240 minute candles for a 240 time frame?

Just be sure to enter the values properly in the Chart Settings. If you enter 240 minutes (0-240-0), you will get 240 minute bars. Refer to the information here:
Chart Settings: Days-Minutes-Seconds-Milliseconds Per Bar (Chart >> Chart Settings >> Bar Period >> Intraday Chart Bar Period Settings menu)

0-240-0 is what I have in the Chart Settings. It says 240 minutes at the top of the chart. Yet, not all bars are 240 minutes, and they differ from TradingView and BarChart.

Do you have new bar at session start enabled?
As the day & evening sessions don't align at 4hr intervals you can end up with a truncated ba at the day session start.

Awesome. That is the special setting I was missing. Thank you.
