I use SC for U.S equities only, using SC real time data When I feed a stock name to a chart sometimes it gives back a chart of a random stock or even a delayed futures instruments. In that case, I have to get to Chart Settings > Symbol > and manually change the stock name there. What is the issue and how can I make it show the stock I actually fed to the chart window right away? |

What do you mean by "feed a stock name to a chart"? How are you doing this. We are not sure if you are using the keyboard to enter the symbol, but if you are then refer to the following section and the section after it for how this works, and pay attention to the fact that how you do this depends on whether you have data for the symbol or not already: Changing the Symbol of a Chart: Quickly Changing the Symbol of a Chart to a Symbol for which a Data File Exists Also, refer to the following setting, and the one after it, that control changing a symbol through the keyboard, in case this is your issue: General Settings Window: Support Plus Minus Keys for Changing Symbol in Charts (Global Settings >> General Settings >> Charts >> Symbol) For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service: Sierra Chart Teton Futures Order Routing |
