Combining footprint delta with volume

On the attached footprint chart I would like to superimpose a bar (green for buyer delta and red for seller delta) for the delta. I currently show the text value delta at the top of my footprint candle, but I would like to add a bar inside each volume bar so I can visually see the size of the delta. See attached. Thanks

We are not fully understanding what you are wanting to do in terms of the display of the delta relative to "add a bar inside each volume bar".

If this is for a Volume by Price profile, then you would set the Bid Volume and Ask Volume Coloring Method to the particular Delta type you want to view. Refer to the following:
Volume By Price Study: Bid Volume and Ask Volume Coloring Method

If you want to create a separate set of bar data for the Deltas, then you can use the Study Subgraph Reference and set it to reference the Delta data you are displaying above the bars, and set the Draw Style for the subgraph to Bar. And since the data is Positive/Negative you can use the Auto-Coloring set to Based on +/- to color the bars as you want them. Refer to the following:
Study Subgraph Reference

Please see the attached. This seems to do the job, but I noticed that if there is large overall volume and a seller difference (red difference bar), that the difference bar is covered up by the gray volume bar.

The reason the gray bar covers the red bar is because the Volume is drawing after the difference bars. Move the Volume study higher up in the list of studies to force it to be drawn earlier, then the difference bars will be drawn on top. Refer to the following for more information on this:

I've made progress here. I can now see the green difference bars inside the gray volume bars. The problem is I can't see the Red difference bars.

How can I get red difference bars that are absolute value and will show up like the green difference bars from bottom up; in other words I think I need the sell difference amount to be an absolute value and not a negative amount.

It depends on how you want to see the information. One thing you can do is set the Volume study to a scale of Automatic. You will then be able to see the negative difference values.

Otherwise, if you want to see the red bars as positive values, then you would need to multiply those values by -1. The easiest way to do this would be to use the Spreadsheet Formula study and enter the following formula:
=IF(ID8.SG1 < 0, ID1.SG1 * -1, 0)

Then set the Subgraph settings for the Spreadsheet Study as you need.

Yes, I want to see the red volume difference bars as positive values. So I have to add an additional Study "Spreadsheet Formula"? This is not part of my volume bars difference study already on my chart?

Yes, you need to add another study to display the negative delta values as positive values. The Volume Difference Bars Study you are using does not have a way to display the negative values as positive values.

Please see attached. I added the Spreadsheet study with the formula you mentioned, but still no red (seller imbalance) bars showing up.

My bad - I had a typo in the formula. It should be the following:
=IF(ID8.SG1 < 0, ID8.SG1 * -1, 0)

And you will want to increase the Width of the Spreadsheet Formula bar a bit from 1.
