Hello, I'm new and trying to transition from another platform. I've searched everywhere on the site for this and this is very basic, but the time of day, right price scale, and trading box on the left side all disappeared suddenly from my chart and I cant find any way to restore them despite hours of messing with it.

Maybe related but I find the top of the main price chart cuts off extreme highs and lows--not the price bar itself, but I use indicators that put a delta number above or below the price bars and they can't be seen when price hits the top or bottom of the chart.

Thanks for any help, I know this is really basic, maybe too basic to have documentation on it.

One step at a time:

Scales:
- Chart >> Chart Settings >> Scale >> Hide Time Scale
- Chart >> Chart Settings >> Scale >> Hide Values Scale

Trading Box (we assume you are referring to the Trade Window):
- Trade >> Attach Trade Window To Chart

---

With regards to the indicators, if you want the indicator to be taken into account for the overall scaling (in other words, you want them to be displayed on the chart when you scroll back and forth) then set the Scale for the particular study to Automatic. Refer to the following:
Chart Scale and Scale Adjusting: Maintaining Same Scale for Multiple Graphs in Chart Region

Thank you. Added the trade box but the other two don't seem to solve those issues.

1. I can bring the time bar in and out using what you advised, but there are no times on the bar--it is blank. Same thing with the value scale on the right, it's there but blank except for showing only the current price as it moves. But not each price level like it used to.

3. That didn't seem to work. All the studies I was using had scale set to automatic already. BTW the issue I'm having is not so much about scrolling around. It happens when even parked on one screen, and it happens on every screen, if that helps.

Any thoughts would be appreciated!

1. The reason the scales are blank is because you do not have any bars being displayed. What is the symbol for the chart?

3. We are not sure we are fully understanding the issue, but make sure the chart Value Scale is set to "Automatic" as well. Then reset the scales and see if that solves the issue. Refer to the following:
Chart Scale and Scale Adjusting: Automatic (Scale Range)
Chart Scale and Scale Adjusting: Resetting the Scale

Thanks.

1. I do have bars being displayed, everything is working other than the times and prices being displayed--the symbol is ESZ22 e-mini 1 minute chart.

3. I will try that and let you know.

Both of these issues feel like I inadvertently changed some setting by accident so I appreciate your patience.

Thanks again!

As requested, here is a screenshot showing the 3 issues I'm still having: 1. No time scale; 2. no value scale 3. the numbers above and below the swing highs and lows near the top and bottom of the chart are getting cut off, which I haven't been able to resolve yet. I also included the Chart Settings--Scale dialog box which indicates both the time scale and the value scale should be showing on the chart but they aren't. Thanks again for

Check the settings for Hide Values Scale and Hide Time Scale. It looks like these are both set to No. Refer to the following:
Chart Settings: Hide Values Scale (Chart >> Chart Settings >> Scale menu)

To resolve the issue with the Swing High/Low numbers make sure that the Scale Setting for the study is set to Automatic. The system will then include that study in the overall calculation for the scales to ensure it is displayed. Refer to the following:
Chart Scale and Scale Adjusting: Maintaining Same Scale for Multiple Graphs in Chart Region

Tried all of that to no effect. Again, the Hide Values Scale and Hide Time Scale are both set to "no", which implies that these should not be hidden. But they are. I've tried toggling back and forth on both to "yes" then back to "no" multiple times. No effect. There is clearly something else going on here.

On the swing high/low, the Scale Setting is and always has been set to "automatic" for both the chart region and the study itself. I've tried toggling that also back and forth, but no effect at all--same problems as in the screen shot I sent are still occurring.

Any other ideas? Do you want to access the program remotely to have a look?

Thanks again for the help.

Check the text colors in either global or chart graphics settings.

That did the trick on the time and value scales! Thanks! I had the feeling it was something simple like that!

Any other ideas on how to get the swing high/low numbers not to get cut off at the extremes? Everything on Scale is set to automatic but it's still happening. Thanks again!

Increase the scale padding percentage.

Sorry we did not think of this earlier, but the post from User431178 is one of the few ways to solve this. The other is to modify the scale to make sure the numbers show up.

At the heart of the issue is that the numbers that are shown for the Zig Zag study are actually drawings and not subgraph values. As such, they are not taken into consideration for the scaling.

Thanks all. Dumb question but I can't find where to alter the scale padding percentage. I see the description in the documentation but I can't seem to find where to do that? It doesn't seem to be in the Scale submenu of the Chart Settings.

It is in the Scale Settings. Right click on the Price Ladder(Values Scale) and then select Scale Settings. It is on there.
