Hi, I have an open trade in my sim account from a while ago that I was unaware that it was open. I have tried switching back to sim mode and flattening the trade but it will not let me. It is weird because it is a CME futures contract but with no month. I have attached some screen shots that will hopefully help you see the problem. Thanks |

Exit from Sierra Chart. Go to the Sierra Chart installation folder, and delete the TradePositions.data file, then start Sierra Chart again.

That does not make sense. Do you see this in a sub instance of Sierra Chart? Is the position cleared, when you do what we say but then it comes back again sometime after when you start Sierra Chart?

It occurs only in sub instance 2 and 3 not in 1. I have deleted all 3 of the TradePositions.data file a couple of times now as you requested. The positions are there as soon as I open up Sierra.

These are working orders in a sub instance. Cancel them: Trading Information Windows: Canceling Orders And clear the simulated trading activity with this command: Trade Menu: Clear Trade Simulation Orders & Data (Trade menu) Or you can selectively clear the activity: Trade Activity Log: Clearing Trade Activity Data Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. I have followed your advice in the 3 articles above and whilst it did clear the orders it did not clear the sim position. See screen shot.

To clear that simulated position in the sub instance you need to clear the Trade Activity order fills, in the main instance of Sierra Chart for that particular Symbol and Trade Account: Trade Activity Log: Clearing Trade Activity Data Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support.
