Updated to version 2438 thinking it might fix this, but same issue as previous version 2434.
Whether I'm using the Right side DOM, the Trade Window DOM, or the Transact-like "Open Trading DOM" from under File>, my Limit orders are not being filled. Once I place them, they appear on my chart, but the price just moves past them.Doesn't matter if its a Sell Limit, Buy Limit, at, below, or above price, or initiated in any of the three DOMs.
Ive been going over this with Kevin Dressel,Head of Platforms, Stage 5 Trading Corp.He looked at my trades history and verified it was indeed not filling my Limit trades. Keep in mind ALL other trades on SIM fill, whether market, or BuyStopLimit, etc. He said it might just be the SC SIM, but I dont want to go to LIVE trading if this issue effects it. I just switched over from Transact, and the DOM I used there was simple. Thats why Byron from Stage5 suggested attaching their "TransAct-like DOM. But I cant get a simple Limit order on the SIM to work, regardless of which DOM. We went over the settings. I use Limit orders a lot.

Is this a primary Limit order or is it an Attached Order?

What kind of Limit order are you entering?

How are you entering it on the system?

1-Not sure what you mean by primary or attached. But if it means the original order placement yes. And add orders (aatached). Also yes.
2- I though I explained what I did in my post, so maybe I'm missing something interpreting your question. I entered "Buy Limit". It's left click on my Right side DOM. And I actually changed the parameters in the Trade DOM. In other words, I tried every conceivable option. One I place the order in SIM. It shows up on my chart as a line. With the word LIMIT, then quantity, etc. I've slid the up past the price, down, enter above price (a Buy stop Limit order would work)
3- I've entered it on all three DOMs as explained above. I've also Right clicked on my chart and picked Buy Limit, and it wouldn't fill that way either. This would be strange if it's not happening to anybody else with the latest version. But I guess you don't know how many people are using the SIM. Does it work for you on your charts I guess would be a start. Just a basic Buy Limit. It's all I've ever used, and I don't suppose, despite setting the defaults it's any different here.

Yes, I went over all the info on why orders dont fill, and all seems to be fine according to that.

But the Limit orders are still not filling. I right click "Buy Limit" below the price....and it drops right through it without filling. This isn't a super fast market, even though it should fill at at a better fill, just no fills on Limit orders. I also left click on the DOMs for a Limit order, and the same result. It must be a setting , but the easiest right click "Buy Limit" still doesn't fill. Ive notice after a while of not filling, if I slide the line above the price, it fills. I imaging it changed to a BuyStop Limit order (basically a market order). Strangely though my "attached Orders" that were on my chart with my Limit order (the Target and Stop Loss) now dont work even though it was filled. Even if it was filled as a different kind of order, my attached orders are still checked, but no stop or Target works.
In that link I did notice a difference in a setting, although I dont see how it applied to me, but I change my "Number of Time & Sales Records to 5000. It had been on 0. But even after this change, no Limit Orders filled still.

Using zero is definitely a problem. Reconnect to the data feed after changing that setting:

Running across the same problem in SC 2490. When SC is restarted, the problem disappears for several days, then it comes back. It acts like a memory leak issue, which we've seen in SC before, and if this is the problem a restart of SC would logically be the temporary fix for this issue.

Do you use a memory leak detector in your development environment? There are may out there, both free and non-free. One such is https://www.deleaker.com/...

Sierra Chart has no memory leaks but there will be increasing memory use, small, from adding data to charts.

There can be a perceived memory leak, by the operating system itself, when it caches data read from intraday data files.

This is an old thread. We have no idea what this is all about and we are not going to look back at this thread and we are locking it now. Start a new thread about whatever situation you have.
