Hi, I am struggling with this issue for a long time. Maybe you can tell me some work around so sierra work faster. My current sierra setup includes 5-6 chartbooks inside those chartbooks i have around 5 charts + 3 spredsheets. Those charts are connected with each other. Amount of data for any charts is limited as much as it can be so charts have 1-2 max days loaded data + one 4hour chart has 365 days. I use 6 monitors as well. My computer parameters are: RAM 32GB RYZEN 7 2700X HARD DRIVE SSD M2 500GB Graphic card Geforce GT 730 Win11 When all charts are opened memory ussage is around 1,7GB (attaching screen) and whole computer start to lagging - responding with slow motion, it takes long time to do anything on computer, including trading. With OPEN GL active platform works a little bit faster, but it stil slow. Issue was with older sierra version as well like with the newest one. What can i do? i can provide video if that would help. |

The only thing we can do is point you to the following documentation: High CPU Usage | Inactive User Interface | Poor Performance | Long Time to Load Chart Data | Charts Reloading Often Also, be aware that if you have a lot of bars displayed in the chart (such as when you display all the bars possible) the system is simply going to be sluggish in terms of scrolling the chart. Refer to: High CPU Usage | Inactive User Interface | Poor Performance | Long Time to Load Chart Data | Charts Reloading Often And refer to: Overview of Trading: Sierra Chart Configuration for Most Low Response Time Trading One of the most important things to do is to use multiple sub instances for the charting. Refer to: Using DTC Server for Data and Trading in Another Sierra Chart Instance Maybe you will want to use 5 sub instances. One for each of your Chartbooks. Maybe you will want to use 5 sub instances. One for each of your Chartbooks. This is interesting solution, but if i have five "icon" of sierra of each instance i would create mess because i wouldn't know which instance is with which chartbook-instrument (that mess is on NT8). If there was an option to create bookmarks for instances with name e.g CL_Instance like bookmarks for charbooks, than this might work and help more traders than me. Is this possible? Best Regards |

Each instance has a unique title bar name by default. And you can name that title bar as you want.: General Settings Window: Custom Title Bar Name (Global Settings >> General Settings >> GUI >> Application GUI) Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. Also, it is not a matter of having multiple installations of Sierra Chart. You would use the File >> New Instance option, and you can setup Sierra Chart to automatically start new instances when you start the main instance, and then each of those "sub instances" can be set to open their own set of chartbooks when they start.
