Hi,

Is there any way to use the Value chart study to define its bar open and close but using a line study/ or ideally a transparent fill to show the open and close deferential by way of a colored box?

I have attached a pic to show what I mean.

When I have the value chart set to line on open/ close instead of a bar - I can't apply a "transparent fill" or any other type of draw type to it to achieve the desired result.

Cheers

You can only apply one Draw Style at a time to a single study. But, if you want to see both a line and fill the area, then you can use the Study Subgraphs References study to define the two subgraphs for which you want the fill area. By default the Study Subgraphs Reference is set to draw as a fill area between the two studies. Just be aware that the Scale is set to Independent, so you might want to change the scale to Automatic to make sure it lines up correctly.

In general, for filling the area between two subgraphs, refer to the following (and also the section after it):
Chart Studies: Filling the Area Between Two Study Subgraphs within Same Study

The above having been said, there is not a way to fill the area between the data that is extended out as a line into the forward projection area. You can get a line to display there, by setting the Draw Style to Line Extend to Edge, but there is not a way to get that area filled.
