Hi All - I use attached order on Rithmic/Topstep and Rithmic/Apex. I am having issues that on most trades the remaining attached order left over after the trade completes remains 'live' and does not automatically cancel - for instance if I have a trade with a target and stop and I move the target to the price to close the trade, the trade completes but it leaves the stop in place. It's an issue as I have a limit set on contract numbers so until that stop/target cancels I cannot trade again. I then cancel the remaining stop/target with a Flat+Cancel button on my control bar and it can take 10 seconds or more to actually cancel before I can enter another trade. Taking that amount of time to cancel before I can trade again is a huge struggle. My TIF on the attached orders is set to 'Day'. Cancel pending attached orders immediately upon parent cancel request for DTC server' - Yes Server side OCO orders - Yes Server side bracket orders - No Reactivate attached order when rejected modification during fill - No Am I missing another setting or is there another issue anyone knows of? The cause of this is going to be an issue on the Rithmic side where the Rithmic system is not canceling the order. I'm running into the same issue. I am using Rithmic with Apex. I use the attached orders and quite often when I exit a trade with the target the stop order is not cancelling. There must be a backup way to cancel the stop order that is left out there. I use a spreadsheet for entries and exits. Do you have any suggestions?

I created a spreadsheet rule to cancel all working orders when this happens. Seems to be working.

It works for me in Sim. When I place a working order, it is immediately cancelled. I suggest you ask User104854 what his solution is: Attached orders not cancelling and taking time to manually close |
