During an update, Sierra Chart somehow wound up in the wrong directory. Tried to move it, but in the end I uninstalled it and tried to start form scratch. The installer fails to download nearly all the necessary files. Any idea what is going on and how to fix it? Thanks.

We would need to see the Installer Log. After you try to do the installation and it fails, select the button in the upper-right corner for Send Log to Support.

Then post back in this thread and let us know that you have sent the log and we will take a look at it.

I have sent the log. It's identified as coming from owen5819@comcast.net.

We see the following in the log:
Failed to create folder: SierraChart\DownloadedInstallationFiles\ACS_Source\. Windows error code 3: The system cannot find the path specified.

It looks like you have not specified a proper directory to which Sierra Chart is to be installed. Make sure the "Installation Path" towards the top of the installer has a proper path entered.

That was the problem. Having "Sierra Chart" in that window was slightly deceptive. Worked after I added "C:\".

while downloading the software the error message " the contents of "SierraChartFileDownloader.exe' cannot be extracted with the Unarchiver.

I have also added Winzip and tried to open using WinZip. But can't.

SierraChartFileDownloader.exe is a program that you run. You do not perform any kind of extraction from there.
