Hello SC Team or others: I have certain studies that only seem to work on Intraday chart settings. I'm curious to know if there is an advantage of using 1 week historical candles as opposed to 7 day intraday? Is it perhaps a performance concern? Thanks! Mike T |

It depends on what you want/need. Historical daily data comes in with just the Open/High/Low/Close/Volume information for the day. From that any higher timeframes are built. The intraday data comes with with the information for every trade (depending on your data source). So there is a lot more information in the intraday data. Therefore, if you just need to see the candles for a weekly chart, then the historical data is fine. But if you want to see a Volume Profile with volumes at each price level for the week, then you would need to use the intraday data.
