Hello,

I was wondering if there is a bar type that is created in an aligned manner (similar to aligned renko bar) for every user price set increment.
For every user set price increment, an unique bar would be drawn.
Does such feature exist in sierra chart?

For example, if the chart tick size is .25 and the user set bar size is 8 ticks, a bar is drawn when the price goes from 1000 (open) to 1002.00 (close).
As the price moves towards 1003.00, a new bar would be created with the open of the bar at 1002.00.
Now, if the price reverses from 1003.00 and goes down to 1000 again, the high of the current bar would be at 1003.00 and the close at 1002.00.
A new bar would be drawn from 1002.00 (open) to 1000.00 (close).

I hope this makes sense.
Let me know if this is confusing; I'll try to clarify more.

Range Bar. Refer to the information starting here (there are a few options for the Range bar, so start at the following and review the following sections for the Range Bar):
Chart Settings: Intraday Chart Bar Period >> Bar Period Type >> Range Per Bar - Standard (in ticks) (Chart >> Chart Settings menu)

Hello John,

I believe my explanation was not detailed enough to convey what I am seeking for.
I am seeking for a type of an aligned bar that is drawn strictly between defined price increments.
For example, if that increment is set to 8 ticks on a .25 chart tick size, bars would be drawn from 1000~1002, 1002~1004, 1004~1006, 1006~1008, 1008~1010, 1010~1012, etc.
Range bar does not does this. Rather, it draws bars only when the price moves x amount of ticks up and down.

I'll continue with an example.
If a price moves from 1000 to 1003 and then back down to 999, a range bar with the tick size set to 8 will draw three bars: 1000(open or o)~1002(close or c), 1002(o)~1001(c)(high at 1003), 1001(o)~999(c).
With the price increment set to 8 ticks, what I am looking for would draw 4 bars: 1000(o)~1002(c), 1002(o)~1002(c)(high at 1003), 1002(o)~1000(c), 1000(o)~999(c).
Notice how the bars are drawn strictly in 8 tick increment without overlapping areas. It is aligned to the 2.0 boundaries, just like an aligned renko bar.

Please let me know if such feature exists.

We are not sure if we have what you are looking for. You would have to look through the options to see if one of the Range Bar options might do it or one of the Renko options. You will find more information on the Renko options here:
