Hello, Looking for some help as I cant seem to connect using rithmic. I've gone through a bunch of threads but still left confused. I currently trading through CQG under 11 - Advanced + Denali Data Feed and I now need to connect to rithmic, I have my login information confirmed but permission denied. Is there anyway you can dummy this down for me and give me some help?

First thing - if you are trading with CQG and want to also do trading with Rithmic, then we recommend installing a second Sierra Chart. This way, you have one always connected to CQG and the other always connected to Rithmic. As long as the second installation is on the same computer, then you will not need to pay anything additional and you will be able to get the Denali data to both installations. Refer to the following for how to install another Sierra Chart:
Using Multiple Data and Trading Services at the Same Time: Step-By-Step Instructions to Install Multiple Copies of Sierra Chart

Second - to setup the connection to Rithmic, follow the instructions at this link:
Rithmic Trading Platform Service: Setup Instructions
For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service:

Thankyou for the response. I don't necessarily need to trade on both. I just need to switch to using Rithmic with denali data so I can do the Apex evaluation. I went through the setup instructions and I don't know what server to use as I keep getting permission denied. There is a big list and I asked for help to Apex and Rithmic support with both of them not knowing. So if they dont know, and the instructions direct me to them that leaves me confused. thx

The first thing we want to do is to make sure that you are aware that a trading account with a Prop Firm does not count towards the non-professional requirements of the CME Group. You do have some time, since you have been connected to CQG - your current verification ends on May 25, 2021. So you will be able to receive the non-professional exchange data from the Denali Exchange Data Feed through May 25, but after that you will need to connect to a live trading account again in order to extend the verification for another month.

As to the issues of setting up Rithmic, where are you getting the "Permission Denied" message?

With regards to the server, Apex needs to tell you what server to select from the list. We do not know, and the list is actually generated by Rithmic. We are sorry that this appears to be a finger-pointing situation, but we really do not know.

Hi, I'm facing this very same issue with Rithmic through Apex Trader Funding. Could you please let me know what Server you ended up using that worked? Thank you!

We ourselves do not know what server to choose from. The instructions to choose a particular Rithmic server are here:

If people would just invest the time to read the Apex support page.

Most issues, would never even be an issue.

The Apex options are already there. Scroll down in the server list till you see the words Apex.

Go through the instructions here to choose the Server that you want:
Rithmic Trading Platform Service: Setup Instructions

To update the Server list follow the procedure to reconnect:
File Menu: Procedure to Reconnect to the Data and Trade Servers

Even if you are not able to connect, go through this procedure anyway and wait one minute and then check the server list again.

A follow up to this thread, when opening another instance of sierra charts to connect to apex or other, do you still use your original date info to login, and then go to global settings and follow the instructions ?

Has anyone connected multiple Apex accounts to Sierra to copy trades and if so, can you please provide details on how you did this? Thanks in advance for the help!

Here are instructions using order allocation within SC. SC works fine but bracket orders often have issues closing on Rithmic, leaving orphan orders that are difficult to find and close. I no longer use order allocation with Apex/Rithmic but if you do, make sure to closely watch each allocated account.

@ ertrader - thanks for the quick response. I am looking through the link you provided but may I ask what you now use instead of the order allocation tool to copy trades to other Apex accounts from SC?

I'm not currently copying due to these issues. Other options I am investigating are from the below programmers that have methods for copying.

@ ertrader - thanks for the links. I am looking into those now.
Just one more thing if you don't mind? What setup instructions did you follow to connect two or more Apex accounts to Sierra? - any information would be really helpful! Regards!
