Is there a way to keep certain chartbooks in an instance from updating? I run two instances, two chartbooks each.. I only want 1x chartbook from each instance running, if I need the other charts I can just enable and let it update.. Is that possible?

Might you share what it is you are trying to accomplish by not updating the 2nd chartbook? In your scenario, once you "enable" the 2nd chartbook, it either has a hole / window of time while it was NOT enabled, or you would need to do a data reload. Assuming there is a condition that happens to the first chart, you could use ACSIL coding to open the 2nd chartbook. ACSIL Interface Members - Functions: sc.OpenChartbook() Why not just start with one chartbook in each instance, and go to the menu to load the 2nd one when needed / desired to be active? Just trying to help, see things another way. JohnR |

@JohnR I use various chartbooks for various things, some for watching delta, others for watching volume, but my end of day charts are just for plotting things on higher time frames... Using ALL these chartbooks at once is a drain on my resources.. But I would like to reference then when using my live/current chart.. Does that make sense? I would like my execution chart to be open and running, and be able to reference my 1hr/4hr/Daily/Weekly charts without them consuming resources used for calculating studies and retrieving data. Maybe like a "pause data" button for the chart.. Its cool not a problem. |
