Can you please help me find the settings where I can load or open specific chartbooks on startup? For example, NQ and ES chartbooks open by default on firing up Sierra Charts. Thanks |

I want to change the chartbook that opens automatically on Sierra Chart startup each morning. The link you've provided above says: Select Files to Open On Startup (Global Settings >> General Settings >> General >> Startup) So far this works. But next the instruction says: "Selecting the button for Files to Open on Startup will bring up a window that allows the files to be added to the list." If only this were true, lol. There is no button to push, just a rectangle labeled "(Button)" as part of the grid under the "General" tab of the "General Settings" window. Clicking on this non-button labeled "(Button)" has no effect. But clicking on the adjacent rectangle labeled "Select Files to Open On Startup)" brings up a small floating box labeled "Files to Open on Startup" This floating box offers only two buttons: "OK" and "Cancel." When I push OK, nothing happens. I've updated my program and tried again to no avail. Any idea what I'm doing wrong? Much thanks. |

(Button) refers to the button to the right which you did click. Refer to the attachment. You may need to resize the Files to Open on Startup window. You can do that by grabbing the lower right of the window and enlarging it. Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. Other responses are from users. This worked. Thanks. For anyone else with the same problem in the future: The little floating box with only two options (OK and Cancel) that is labeled "Files to open on Startup"... This becomes a larger box when you enlarge it by dragging its edges down and out. :) It then shows a list of all possible chartbooks that may be opened on startup. You can click the "ADD" button to add chartbooks you want to automatically open on startup. Namaste! |
