If the chart settings have the PBC set to reset on touch, is there some other setting somewhere, that could cause it to not reset when the extreme is touched?

This is still an issue for me and every other SC user I know. Why does this feature seem to simply not work at all? I really wish it did.

Coming back to vent about this again. I can't be the only SC user in the world who wishes the Pullback bar would actually reset on touch? I've never been able to get this to work, not once in a fair number of years using SC. Can someone please take a look at this and either fix it, or tell me how to enable it? Setting it to accumulate on new high/low or touch, doesn't do anything differently from simply new high/low. I really wish I could get this to work.

You've helped me before I'll give it a go. What exactly are you referring to, link to documentation?

it's the pullback bar in the Numbers Bars (Footprint) study. There is an option in Chart Settings to have it reset only when a new high/low is made, or also when the same high/low is touched. I would like the latter, but can't get it to do anything.

Chart Settings: Historical Pullback Data (Chart >> Chart Settings >> Chart Data >> Chart Data menu)

Thanks in advance!

Seems to be working for me.

Steps
I pulled up my footprint chart set Chart Settings - Historical Pullback Data - Reset & Accum on New or Touch
Study Settings - Number Bars -> Pullback Column 1 Number Bars Text -> Ask Vol Bid Vol Diff (This turned on a column to the right of my footprint and displayed values)
Study Settings - Number Bars Calculated Values -> Show Pullback Column Values - Changed to YES (This added pullback column to right of my Number Bars Calculated Values that reset)

Results
Number Bar Calculated Values on a 5 min Footprint Chart would Reset <Bar Volume> anytime a new high/low was made or touched.

Does that help or is that what you are asking for?

WTF... ok, that's good to know I guess but it absolutely doesn't work for me. Never resets on touch, only when a new high/low is made.

That's odd... as long as some things take to configure on SC that was quick and painless to setup and test. I'm running latest version and those settings above are everything I changed / turned on to get it to work.

This is nuts. It's never worked for me, nor anyone else I've spoken to until this thread. I've watched screenshares of other traders trading and it doesn't reset on touch for them either.

OK hang on a second... I just caught that you were looking at the Calculated Values study to verify the reset on touch, NOT the footprint pullback itself. Is this correct? If so then this has gotta be a bug. It's the pullback bar itself I expect to reset on touch, not just the calculated values study data. The whole point is to have the visual pullback reset so that it's always showing the fresh volume since the last time the high/low was reached. I'm not looking for the "bar volume", I'm looking for the pullback bar volume at price.

Can you confirm if the pullback bar itself actually resets on touch for you?
