Hello. I need some input with regards to Futures trading. Currently, I'm on SP 11 and trading purely US equities and my current broker (Merril Edge) are not involve with Futures. I want to transition to Futures trading (mostly CME)and have several questions. 1.) Do I need to upgrade to SP12? 2.) What is Sierra's preferred broker for Futures that has seamless/less connectivity issue(IB, CQG etc...)? 3.) I want to be able to trade thru DOM? 4.) Do I need to activate/apply for the Teton Routing? I read that Teton has no fee? 5.) Any advice/documentation that Sierra can provide. Thank you in advance... |

1) No. SP12 is just if you need the Market by Order data. Refer to the following: Market By Order Data 2) The only thing we will say is that we recommend using our Teton Order Routing Service. The list of brokers that support this service are listed in Step #2 of the Setup Instructions for this service. You will find that, along with the rest of the information on this service at the following link: Sierra Chart Teton Futures Order Routing 3) You do not need anything special for this. The Trading DOM is available within Sierra Chart with any package. 4) See our information in #2 above. 5) We see you have been using Sierra Chart for awhile, so you are familiar with the software. Therefore, the information we have given above should give you everything you need in terms of setting up. You have delayed streaming data from the CME Group, EUREX, and CFE available to you at no extra cost. We recommend working with this data before you start trading live. This gives you the ability to play with the system and develop your strategies without having to pay for real-time data. If you decide to use a different order routing service, then we still recommend using our Denali Exchange Data Feed for your real-time data. For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service: Sierra Chart Teton Futures Order Routing |

Hello SC Support; So I funded a Futures account with Stage 5 and followed the activation process including providing S5 with my SC username. 1. What's my next step with Sierra Chart? 2. Do I still need to activate a Denali Exchange Live data feed for CME/CBOT/NYMEX for live futures data? As mentioned on response #5, I have a delayed streaming data for CME? 3. To save cost for me and if I will only trade futures, it's better to cancel my NASDAQ live data feed instead? 4. Since I have a delayed streaming data for CME, can I still place a trade with CME if my Stage 5 account in live? Thank you in advance... |

1. You need to go through the Setup Instructions for the Teton Order Routing here: Sierra Chart Teton Futures Order Routing: Setup Instructions 2. Yes, you need to activate the Denali Exchange Data Feed for the exchanges for which you want real-time data. See our note below in relationship to delayed data. 3. This is up to you. If you do not need the NASDAQ data, then you can cancel that exchange. 4. There is nothing stopping you from placing trades with the Delayed Streaming Data, but you need to understand that what you are seeing is 10 minutes behind reality - therefore your trades will not be placed at the price of your chart at that moment, they will be placed based on the actual market price at that time. If you are buying and holding for a long period of time (multiple hours or days), then this may work for you, but just be aware of the situation. Hello SC Support again, I made a mistake on filling up the form. My account has been tagged as " Professional". How can I change it to Non-Professional? Thank you... "CME Non-Professional/Professional Certification Status Your account has been tagged as a Professional. If this is not valid, please start an Account Support Ticket." |

You just need to redo the agreements and fill them out to be a non-professional. After you have submitted them and they are reviewed, your status will be reset. If it is not changed after about 24 hours from when you submit, then let us know and we will take care of it.

wildpanther1945: Your status for the CME Group is now set to "Non-Professional". You can now activate the non-professional exchanges for the CME Group. Just keep in mind that we recommend waiting until May 1 before activating the exchanges. Otherwise, if you activate today, you will pay the full exchange fee for the remainder of April and then again on May 1 for May. Hello SC Support; Sorry more questions. I want to know if I'm doing this correctly. Anyway, as I mentioned I will be trading CME futures (E mini and NQ as well both the Micro contract for Emini and Nq) primarily. So I deactivated both U.S. Equities (NYSE, NASDAQ, AMEX) and Denali - NASDAQ US stock data since I'm not trading US Equities anymore. I still have the Exchange Data Feed: 250 Real-Time Symbols (1st Connection) active. I will be activating CME on May 1st. I think I just really need CME Non-Pro with market depth and live/real-time data feed for now. 1.) Please advice if what I'm doing is correct? or Do I need to activate other services? 2.) Do I need still the 250-Sierra Chart Exchange Data Feed? 3.) Do I have to activate Denali Exchange Data Feed separately? Thank you for your patience.... |

1) You do not need to activate anything else. 2) No, you should deactivate the Sierra Chart Exchange Data Feed Connection at this link: https://www.sierrachart.com/UserControlPanel.php?page=ExchangeDataFeedFeatures#DataConnections 3) The Denali Exchange Data Feed is already activated, as it is part of Packages 10+. Hello SC Support; I have a question: if I also want to trade US Equities and get real-time data/qoute and DOM, do I need to activate the 250-real time symbols and NASDAQ US stock data at the same time? Or just the NASDAQ data? Currently I'm on Package 12 with MBO. Thank you... |

It depends on what you want. The NASDAQ TotalView is part of the Denali Exchange Data Feed. So you would only need to fill out the agreements and activate the exchange to get the data. But, we need to let you know that this is not the consolidated tape, therefore the volumes are only from the primary exchange for any particular symbol. We are working on getting the consolidated tape information for this data, but it is still in the works. On the other hand, the U.S. Equities exchange that is part of our Sierra Chart Exchange Data Feed does have the consolidated tape, so the volumes will match what you would expect, but there is not Level 2 market depth with that data. Therefore, it is your choice. If you go with the NASDAQ TotalView on the Denali Exchange Data Feed, then follow these instructions: Denali Exchange Data Feed: *Setup Instructions: All Other Exchanges* If you go with the U.S. Equities on the Sierra Chart Exchange Data Feed, then follow these instructions: https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/SierraChartRealTimeFuturesStockDataFeed.php#SetupInstructions For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service: Sierra Chart Teton Futures Order Routing |

Hello SC support; In reference to post #16, I activated both the Denali and the SC data Feed so that I can also trade US Equities ( at the top of Teton Routing for CME Futures I have). I get the L2 and DOM on this for US equities? Also, If I want to trade US Equities I need to toggle SC Data-All Services and for CME Futures the Teton Routing? Right now I'm still getting delayed data for US Equities, do I need to update anything more? Thank you in advance... Date Time Of Last Edit: 2022-06-14 02:23:41

You have activated the U.S. Equities exchange on the Sierra Chart Exchange Data Feed. As such you will have the consolidated tape volumes, but you will NOT have the Level 2 Market Depth data. When you are entering symbol for the U.S. Equities, you need to enter them just ask their symbol without any modifiers (i.e. no -NQTV). For example, for Apple, you would enter "AAPL". You do not need to change your 'Current Selected Service' in order to get the data. Since you are signed up for the real-time data, you can keep your service set to the Teton CME Order Routing and be able to get the data for both Futures and U.S. Equities. If, however, you are wanting to trade the U.S. Equities with Interactive Brokers (for example), then we recommend installing a second Sierra Chart for the equity trading, since that will be with a different broker than where your Futures are traded. Refer to the following instructions for how to install a second Sierra Chart: Using Multiple Data and Trading Services at the Same Time: Step-By-Step Instructions to Install Multiple Copies of Sierra Chart For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service: Sierra Chart Teton Futures Order Routing |

You activated the U.S. Equities, which does NOT have the level 2 data, but does have the consolidated tape. You need to use the symbol WITHOUT the "-NQTV". So just "AAPL". -- If you want the MBO and Level 2 data, then you would need to activate the NASDAQ TotalView exchange that is part of the Denali Exchange Data Feed. To do this, follow these instructions: Denali Exchange Data Feed: *Setup Instructions: All Other Exchanges* You would then use the '-NQTV' with this Denali data. hello SC support; I want to trade Futures solely for now. I will activate the CME with Market depth and already deactivated Denali Nasdaq TotalView? Is this correct approach just to trade Futures? Thank you.... |

Yes, that is fine. You will want to follow through the instructions at the following link to be able to get the CME Group data: Denali Exchange Data Feed: *Setup Instructions: CME/CBOT/NYMEX/COMEX Exchanges* Just note that there are options for the "Full CME Group..." and some for "CME...". The Full CME Group includes all 4 of the exchanges that make up the CME Group - these are CME, CBOT, COMEX, and NYMEX. The "CME..." exchange options are just for the CME exchange itself.
