I have several charts in one chartbook, and for each product (let's say Cocoa) I have a Daily Chart (on the left) and an Intraday chart (on the right.) I am trying to accomplish the following: group them together so that when I click (or use a Function key like F9) on Cocoa Daily, it brings up (to the front) BOTH Cocoa Daily and Cocoa Intraday charts at once. (Otherwise, I have to cycle through lots of charts to bring to the front the pair I need.) I've searched through the forum but haven't found the answer. (I use chartbooks by Commodity groups, e.g. one chart book for "Grains", one for "Softs", etc. In each chartbook I will have several products, so in the Softs, I will have Cocoa, Coffee, Sugar, etc. And each of these commos have 2 charts, Daily and Intraday.) I am aware of "links" but that does not seem related to the above. Date Time Of Last Edit: 2022-04-06 18:43:32

If you just have the 2 charts for each commodity, then the easiest thing is to have each commodity in its own chartbook. If you are wanting the charts displayed within the Sierra Chart application, then use the Window >> Tile Horizontal/Vertical depending on how you want to view the two charts. If the charts are detached, then you would need to arrange them on your screen as you want. Refer to the information starting here: Window, CB and CW Menus: Tile Horizontally (Window) And then you would just switch between the chartbooks to get the particular commodity you want: Window, CB and CW Menus: Previous Chartbook (Window) For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service: Sierra Chart Teton Futures Order Routing |

Thanks for your reply. I've already used the tile function to resize and arrange the charts (which are attached.) The problem is that I have 8 charts for Softs (for example); 2 per commodity, one Daily, one Intraday. And I cannot find a way to Group them--a bit like one can group "objects" in Excel, etc. It doesn't look like it's possible, is it? |

The only way to "group" them would be by using separate Chartbooks. Then you will have 2 charts per Chartbook and you can move through the Chartbooks to view each commodity.

OK, thanks. I don't know if you have a list of feature requests but adding the ability to "group" charts in a similar way as one can group objects in Excel, would be valuable. That might be available via the Windows API. |
