Hello, I am looking for a solution to exit positions in a ratio that maintains the current average price. To describe the situation, I will enter a position (lets say long) at various points over time in increasing quantities. (say 2, 4, 6 etc..). I want to exit these positions while maintaining my existing average price, or keeping it as close to what it was as possible if the contract amounts are indivisible evenly. Currently using FIFO or LIFO when I exit, the average price changes because if I sell 2 out of the 6 contracts it will pull the first 2 or the last 2 changing the average. Is there a way to sell proportionately/evenly from all entries (or as close to as possible)? I see that when using "scaling out" in "Global Settings-->General Trade Settings" I can select "Even Distribution". I suspect this is what I am trying to do but I am trying to do this without attached orders. Even if I was to use attached orders after the first exit I would have to manually set another order in which I would want the exit done evenly distributed. Any help is appreciated. Thanks |

There is no built in support for this. You would have to create a custom trading study to do this. Refer to our ACSIL information starting here: Advanced Custom Study Interface and Language (ACSIL) For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service: Sierra Chart Teton Futures Order Routing |
