Histogram / profile on a study

Is it possible to apply a profile on a study? I know the VBP study can only be applied on a main graph but I tried to make the study display as a main graph (zigzag in my case), then apply a profile on it and the profile is actually calulating a symbol, not the main graph. Hope that's not confusing. Basically, I'm looking to do something like in the attached image. Many might know FT71 and this specific screenshot is how he applies a "bell curve" / profile on zig zag rotations to find out the most common rotation size + 1SD/2SD of those rotation in a period of 20 days. I can extract the rotations manually from the zig zag study and calculate this stuff in a spreadsheet, but I'm sure given how powerful Sierra is, this can be done right on the chart. You would need to use the Spreadsheet Study to get and manipulate the information you want. You can get additional information for the ZigZag study output to the Spreadsheet Study by enabling the Input on the ZigZag study for Additional Output for Spreadsheets. Refer to the information here: Zig Zag: Additional Output for Spreadsheets Once you have the information as you want it, then there is a Draw Style of Horizontal Profile which you can then use to get the profile. Refer to the following: Chart Studies: Horizontal Profile (ACSIL: DRAWSTYLE_HORIZONTAL_PROFILE) For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service: Sierra Chart Teton Futures Order Routing |

John, Yes I was able to do this with horizontal profile. However, this draw style only shows what's visible. When you do a study on stuff like zigzag there are many thousands of results and it would be impossible to fit them all on the screen. Is there a way to make that horizontal calculate everything in the chart? |

Sorry, but we are not quite understanding what you are wanting in terms of "make that horizontal calculate everything in the chart"? Can you give us some additional information on what you are looking for.

The horizontal profile is calculating only what's currently visible on the screen but I want it to calculate everything that's loaded in the chart, kind of like when volume by price calculates all bars in the chart instead of only the visible bars. Is it possible to do it? I guess the other question is also if it's possible to extract the highlighted information in the attachment from sierra without having to use a spreadsheet study? It would be nice to be able to apply a TPO type profile on a study or a result of a spreadsheet. Date Time Of Last Edit: 2022-03-15 01:24:20

Is it something you can add perhaps?
