Plotting a forward curve of 3 years with ALL the contracts is not practical because the lines are too close to each other in the front end. This is very visible in the energy contracts. Is there a way to select specific contract months of each single year only?

There is not a way to select specific contracts to load for the Forward Curve study.
For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service:

There actually is by altering the contract months in the Global Symbol Settings for the symbol:
Global Symbol Settings

Specifically the setting is:

Continuous Contract Months

But this has to be tested. We would expect it to work though.

i tested it already and its not working. Deselectiong contract months in the global symbol settings has no effect on the study. But you will test this anyway.

Best,

Rather than doing that, select the contracts that you want in the Forward Curve study with this Symbol Settings:
Continuous Contract Months

Nope, what i want to do is to plot the CL months Feb Apr Jun Aug Okt and Dec for the next 3 years. Its a special case, i admit that, but its nessecary for products which have a contract for almost every month.
