Hey guys,

So I have several chartbook where I utilize volume profile on a tick by tick basis. I use the exact same chartbook both on my laptop and my desktop. I can't seem to figure out why the volume is not matching what is shown on the desktop and laptop. All of the setting are the same from days to load, days to show in the VP and time zone as well. When I have my Weekly profile (5days rolling) the volume it shows is the exact same on both the desktop and laptop. When I look at 2 weeks (10 days rolling) or anything further than 5 days....the volume is greater on the desktop and lower on the laptop. The settings are all the same. I have even used the chartbooks I uploaded under Haus Trades and it shows different/missing data on laptop (I assume because the volume is lower). Can you please let me know what I have to do to fix this and which one is correct?

Thanks for your help on this

The first thing to do is to Delete all the data and redownload it on both systems to ensure that you have the full data on both systems. To do this have the chart selected and then select Edit >> Delete All Data and Download.

Then, you need to go through all of the Inputs for the VbP studies and ensure they are the same between the systems, and then you also need to look at all the Chart Settings to ensure they are all the same between the systems.

Most likely it is a setting in the Chart Settings that is slightly different, such as New Bar at Session Start, or the Session Times, or Combine Trades into Original Summary Trade.

Set Sierra Chart to a Tick by Tick Data Configuration. Follow the instructions here to do this:
Tick by Tick Data Configuration (But this would not explain lower volumes overall if that is actually what the case is)
