How can I have a specific chart refresh automatically on the completion of a bar and/or the start of a new bar? I would like a specific chart to automatically refresh without me having to do it manually. Thank you- Is there a momentum indicator that compares the close of a current bar to the open or high-low of a previous bar? Not compare within the same bar, like Aroon does, but compare different input data points on two different separate bars? If not, how can you do that with studies? Thanks- |

We do not know why you would need to "refresh" your chart, but there is the following study that will force a recalculation at specified periods: Chart Recalculation - Periodic With regards to a Momentum study that is based on different Inputs for different bars, we do not have this specifically available. But you can modify the source code to make this. The code for the Momentum study can be found in Studies7.cpp in the ACS_Source folder under your main Sierra Chart installation. Refer to the following: How to Build an Advanced Custom Study from Source Code For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service: Sierra Chart Teton Futures Order Routing |

Chart Recalculation - Periodic A chart refresh is usually needed when signal indicators use data calculations intrabar to provide a signal instead of doing calculations at the close of the bar. Such indicators suffer from the what is known as repainting. |
