I placed an order to short two contracts at a price with common stop and two targets then shut off my computer. After reviewing the trade log it appears my short got filled, my first target hit but my stop was never moved to BE...did I miss something in the order configuration? When my orders are put in it shows server side, is the move to BE completely client managed? I attached pictures of my order settings as well as the trade activity. Thank you. |

is the move to BE completely client managed? Yes it is. You need to keep Sierra Chart running. We will make sure the documentation explains this.

The CME doesn’t track the logic of a trailing stop or move to B/E. When an entry order is filled, the stop/profit child orders are sent to reside at CME. However, any other changes, such as trailing or auto-movement of a stop is local on your end, that’s why you have to keep it running.

I thought Teton was to handle this (as the server-side component) for the BE. Guess that wasn't part of the logic built-in for Teton?

I am moving from Transact to Stage 5 right now, and watched the Sierra/Stage5 webinar on Teton functionality last night, after I had responded to your initial inquiry above. The way I understood it, at the present, OCO orders reside on the server which is nice, but I don’t think trailing stops do but will in the future. They talked about this functionality about half way thru the presentation, would recommend watching it, lot of good info. https://stage5trading.com/sierra-chart-teton-order-routing/

Trailing stop orders are always managed on the client side. The stop order is at the exchange but the movement is managed on the client side and there are no changes planned.
