I seem to experience a lot of inconsistency in time length when I pull up continuous charts. I just switched from level 3 to level 5 subscription. I pulled up an intrady chart on nqm4.scid, set it to one day, no hours, no minutes, set it to 3000 days to dsiplay/load, and clicked on Continuous Furtures Contract - Data Rule Rollver, Back Ajusted. But the chart only gets me back to mid-December, 2012. At other times, it takes me back to December 2010. I'd like to go back to 2008, at least. Why am I experiencing this?

We see you are using OEC. Do the following: Update Sierra Chart by selecting Help >> Download Current Version. Please do this step, otherwise the following information is not valid. Re-download the data in the continuous futures contract chart following these instructions: https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?l=doc/doc_ContinuousFuturesContractCharts.html#ReDownloading For the NQ the data goes back to the March 2009 contract. Would I get data further back if I wasn;t using OEC? Or would I have some other advantage if I wasn;t using OEC? I'm afraid I'm suffering from a lack of understanding as to how the OEC connection works. I'm not trading with my Sierra/OEC connection. I do research on Sierra Charts. When I want to trade, I pull up my OEC software separately. What is the best way for me to get the maximum research capabiliuty out of Sierra?

You can go further back in time with a Historical Daily chart. You cannot go further back in time if you are not using OEC. How far back do you want to go?
