Hi there, I use market depth (what a great addition-well done SC crew!) but have problems when price is at extremes as orders can flash in unseen at the top and bottom of the chart and outside the viewable charting window. For example, price reaches 4000 and it's a new low so price is right at the bottom of the chart. Orders flash in a 3995. If price is at the edge of the chart/at extremes then I won't see down to the 3995 price level. As such, is it possible to set that the display area of the chart is fixed 5 points above/below the price when it is at the edge fo the chart? I've looked and played around at the chart settings instruction page but really can't get anything to work, or to work out whether this is possible in the first place. Many thanks, Bootsyjam |

This should work for you. It is percentages, not points. Chart Scale and Scale Adjusting: Scale Padding Percentage (Scale Settings) JohnR |

Thanks very much I'll give that a go. I hadn't read down that far on the instructions and when looking at the settings themselves had no idea that this could be the answer!

@Bootsy, I think I know what you are talking about as I ran into the same issue. By default, when you activate market depth data, you only see 100 levels, 50 per side (I could be wrong with the numbers). So if you are using the Denali data feed, you actually have access up to 1400 levels. You have to go into Global Settings >> Symbol Settings for your instrument and manually modify this value. I changed mine to 200 (100 per side) for the /ES and that works perfectly for me. Anything outside of that is not in my timeframe. Let me know and I can send a screenshot of the config.

Hi there, Thanks very much for the reply. I tried the fix suggested by John R and it didn't work. The prices stayed fixed in the middle of the screen with the extremes of price not appearing on the chart, and if price approached the bottom/top of the chart then the same issue occurred. Please could you send me your settings and I'll see if this works? Many thanks once again, Bootsy |

You're welcome. Hopefully we are talking about the same thing. I wanted to see multiple levels of the order book that were not necessarily visible on the DOM or chart because they were too far away. I attached a screenshot of an example. Not a great example from today because the order book is thin but it should show the perspective that I am referring to. The other is the symbol settings you'll need to modify, Global Settings > Symbol Settings. The example on my 3-minute chart shows a "large" order 60 points away. You'd never see that on a range or shorter time frame chart without scrolling for it.

Hi there Acefly, It turns out that we're not talking about the same thing but damn your version of displaying orders with Market Depth is WAY better than mine. Are you using the Market Depth Historical Graph (which is what I have). I have orders flashing in on price in the same style as bookmap so it happens on/in the candle area of the charts. How have you managed to get the orders to show on a graph scale like that-are you a magician or something? Viewing it that way would make things a lot easier that's for sure. Many thanks once again for all your help on this. Regards, Bootsy Date Time Of Last Edit: 2022-01-24 18:03:47

Hey Bootsy, I don't use that bookmark style market depth. It looks cool but I found it was not terribly useful, to me. But to get the order bars on the chart is easy. Select the chart you want to display the bars onto and on the menu bar click Chart Set > Advanced Settings 2 and select Draw DOM Graph On Chart. There are a few parameters there you might like to try. I only need to see volume totals/percentages on the ends. Screenshot attached.
