I moved from Velocity/ILQ to AMP Trading. AMP gave me nothing but a Username and a Password. I've seen logs here from others that state login was automatic, or something like that. Do the credentials for the price and order servers automatically populate, or do I have to get this info from AMP? |

We have set the server settings for your account. Restart Sierra Chart and see if you can connect now. Although you are going to need more than a Username and Password. So you really need to contact AMP about this. Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. Other responses are from users. Thank you. Now, the message log states "Data/Trade Service Settings automatically set." But I'm still not authorized to use the FIX Adapter. I called AMP. First, they had said I'd have to wait until after 4:45PM Central, for the daily bulk Sierra Chart authorization. Now, they say I'll have to wait for 24 hours after I funded the new account. I've not talked to anyone at AMP that knows what I'm talking about when I ask about credentials for the TTNet price server and the order server. |

Max Rathberger at AMP is your man. He got me setup with AMP/TT/Sierra configurations and knows what he is talking about. |

I started this thread while logged into my AMP affiliate account. Now I'm back in my SC direct account. I'll recap here in case this might help someone else. Thanks for all the replies. It turns out I had all the information for access to the AMP/TTNet FIX Adapter, but I didn't have instructions for using the info. The Sender Comp ID for both the Price Feed server and the Orders server is the SC Username. The Orders server Account is also the SC Username. The Password for both servers is the same as the SC Password. And I got the IP Addresses and Port numbers automatically, after SC reset my affiliate account, by logging into SC with the AMP affiliate account. Before I read the posts above referring me to Max Rathberger, I'd already been given the proper instructions by Johnny Khek at AMP. I'd sent an email to AMP which established a support ticket, that was never answered, and made three phone calls to AMP before talking to Johnny Khek. Johnny gave me the instructions over the phone and then sent me an email with explicit instructions. I still have no idea why I had so much trouble getting this information. I don't know if AMP normally sends out the email with explicit SC login instructions and I just missed it, or what . . . In transferring from Velocity/ILQ to AMP, I had to change all my SC chart symbol names that had a CBOT extension to a CME extension. (So, afterwards, I unchecked the "Use CME Gateway for CBOT Symbols" in SC Data/Trade Service Settings.) I'm unable to place orders to the ICE Exchange. In the SC Message Log, I get this message: Trade Order Error - TT order update (Rejected). Info: Unable to find user mgt/gateway on which to route this order. The AMP Trade Desk tells me that AMP is still working on getting ICE orders to work with Sierra Chart.Otherwise, everything is working fine with the AMP/TTNet connection using my SC Direct Account and the SC RT Data Feed. I had the same issue, Amp got on the Phone with SC and then all worked except for live trading. Live trading needs to be set 1 final time after you initially connect. Super easy things in this business are NOT always the most secure. Be patient and it will all work out just fine. I have a friend that has used AMP for years and he loves them! Great Trading!!! |
