When I go into general setting or trade service settings I get a black screen and no options like I would normally have. It almost looks like a programming screen. How can I correct this ?

Go to Global Settings >> Graphics Settings and check the color settings that begin with: Settings Windows: Make sure the foreground and background colors make sense to have a proper visible view.
