The documentation of Teton Service says that AMP Futures will be supported. "Expected upcoming support"
In which month is this expected?

I contacted AMP and they said the want to see it working for a few weeks / 1000+ users utilizing it in order to assess if it’s beneficial to support it. I think they might soon

I imagine when Amp starts to lose a decent amount of account holders, they will support Teton.

If 1000+ users get set up on it with someone else Amp will probably lose that business.

I prefer to stay with Amp for this, everyone should be contacting Amp asking if they are interested.

I ask the AMP Chat and got the following answer:

From our understanding, they have very few traders set up on it...
So, we need to see it...as they say more "Battle-tested"....before we can offer to our customers.
For example, CQG, Rithmic, and TT....all have been performing order routing services for 20+ years...and they still get issues. So please do not be in a hurry...
We are monitoring....easy to say it all works good with a few users...
once start hitting 1,000+ users...load balances and backup protocols start being tested.
We do not want our customers to be the testers.
We will maintain communication with Sierra and send an announcement once this service has matured.

guys, if you want AMP to support Teton, we should all pressure them by calling and sending emails demanding. I sent several emails to them telling them i will be forced to move my accounts if they don't offer Teton.

Amp will lose money if their customers use Teton, it's pretty obvious.

We really do not think it is a good idea to make any demands. Due to how they monitor their customer accounts and handle risk management, it may not be an easy or desirable thing for them to support Teton at least in the near term.

We do know they heavily use CQG. Very similar to ninja.

Our advice is simply to move your account.

then, how do you feel about what AMP is saying (as posted above by someone who spoke with AMP)...

"We are monitoring....easy to say it all works good with a few users...
once start hitting 1,000+ users...load balances and backup protocols start being tested.
We do not want our customers to be the testers.
We will maintain communication with Sierra and send an announcement once this service has matured."

they/AMP is saying they are monitoring and make this claim/assessment. Do you agree with them? Do you think Teton is technically solid enough to handle large volume?

Have you considered starting your own broker business?

I also think you should allow/restore historical tick data for CQG as you grow Teton users and build solid track record. You are doing disservice to your customers by turning off CQG historical tick data. You should reconsider.

Could you explain why?

For the same reason that ninja trader and tradeovate would not support Teton. These brokers, use CQG and all of their systems are built on top of CQG. Like risk management systems and other related systems/processes.

They simply are not in a position to be supporting a new service like Teton.

You simply cannot make demands upon these types of businesses. They will move forward with these projects when they can. You may not even see Teton support, with them until towards the end of this year. Would be very surprising, you would see it sooner than June. Waiting around makes no sense.
