Hi I have a funded account with Apex Trader Funding and have been using NinjaTrader until now, but would like to make use of the TPO capabilities in Sierra Charts going forward. Apex Trader funding like most other of similar funding firms make use of the Rithmic data feed. In testing I found out that this data feed doesn't work well with Sierra Charts and I also reed some faq articles on your site explaining that the Rithmic feed does not work with SC. So what are the possibilities ? I already pay for the Rithmic data feed at the funding firm and that cannot be changed. So it would be rather annoying if I need to pay twice for the same data. Thanks in advance. Best Regards, Sune |

You can use the Rithmic data, but as you have read, there is a lack of historical data that comes with it. Specifically, be sure you read through this topic: Historical Data on the New Rithmic Connection The only other option is to use the Denali Exchange Data Feed. For information on this, refer to the following: Denali Exchange Data Feed Also, be aware of the requirement of the CME Group that you have a live, funded, futures trading account in order to qualify for the non-professional exchange fees: Real-Time Exchange Data Feeds Available From Sierra Chart: Understanding and Accessing Data From the CME, CBOT, NYMEX, COMEX Exchanges For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service: Sierra Chart Teton Futures Order Routing |

John, I am on SP11 with SC. Can I use DenaliDataFeed for data and connect to Rithmic only for placing orders (sim/paper trading)? Is the procedure all the same as in this link? Rithmic Trading Platform Service: Setup Instructions Or should I skip connecting to data when setting things up?

We see that you have the Denali Exchange Data Feed active with a non-professional CME Group exchange. This will work fine. The only thing you need to be aware of with this setup is that you need to connect at least once a month to your live, funded, trading account in order to continue to qualify for the non-professional exchange fees. For more information on this topic, refer to the following: Real-Time Exchange Data Feeds Available From Sierra Chart: Connecting Only Once a Month to Trading Account to Support CME Group Exchange Fees For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service: Sierra Chart Teton Futures Order Routing |

One more question here if I may. After I successfully connected with DTC method and all works fine, symbols updated to current service etc, I noticed that loading charts in replay mode became substantially slower, even on single chart standard replay. Hence the question - am I allowed to run one SC instance with Rithmic service DTC connected (real-time data provided by Rithmic) and another SC instance with original SC Denali datafeed with realtime data?

Yes, you can do what you are asking - having 2 separate installations of Sierra Chart where one gets data from Rithmic and the other gets data from the Denali Exchange Data Feed. We do not know what exactly the issue is with regards to loading the chart in Replay mode. Is this only on one of the installations and not the other? Is there market depth data on one installation and not the other and is this the one that takes longer to load? John, thank you for the information! I recon the speed issue has to do with market depth data. Without it both instances are as fast as ever. User696736, I have not passed it yet, just started evaluation account. |

The Market Depth loading is definitely going to slow down the overall loading of the chart for a replay. There is a lot of data to load into the system when you are wanting the Market Depth data. This is normal.

User101094: We see that you are already using the Denali Exchange Data Feed and that you are trading using the Teton Order Routing service. This simplifies things, as it means that you have a trading account separate from the Prop firm, so you can get the Denali Data without any issues. Therefore, the first thing we recommend is installing a second Sierra Chart that you will use with the Rithmic connection. You will want to put this on the same computer that already has Sierra Chart on it. This way you will not have to pay any additional exchange fees. Refer to the information at the following link for instructions on how to install a second Sierra Chart: Using Multiple Data and Trading Services at the Same Time: Step-By-Step Instructions to Install Multiple Copies of Sierra Chart Then, in that new installation, you will want to set it up to connect to Rithmic. Follow the instructions at the following link to do this: Rithmic Trading Platform Service: Setup Instructions That is all you need to do. For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service: Sierra Chart Teton Futures Order Routing |

Hi guys… When you are connecting to Rithmic through sierra chart there are a lot of Apex choices for the service settings. How do I know which one to choose. Everytime I try one and use the apex and rithmic details for the trading name and trading password I get a connection error.. I am currently using my current settings of Denali for powering my charts and using rtrader to take trades but I would like to use my sierra Doms as I love them |
