Hey SC Masters. I see that you have an "Alert" Button under the Anchors Tab of any given Horizontal Line. But that Alert Button DOES NOT WORK. Please, you would save me hours every night if I didn't have to use a study with alert programming. For like almost 2 years, you guys have been saying you would make the horizontal line (the hand drawn version), usable with an alert. Maybe I don't know how to use the Alert Button. But I think there is something wrong with it - which is so unlike SC. Would you guys consider adding a working alert system to the drawn horizontal line? Thanks for Considering. -Ben |

The ability to set an alert using a horizontal line has been in the system for many years now. Actually, there is a way to use any drawing to establish an alert, as well as some drawings allowing the relative position to be used in an alert. For the information on all of this, refer to the following section: Study/Chart Alerts And Scanning: Referencing Chart Drawings There is also the Chart Drawing Alert, which is a little different from the Simple Alerts referenced above. This particular alert option is what you get when you select the Alert button on a drawing Properties window. Refer to the following: Chart Drawing Tools: Chart Drawing Alerts Finally, when you select the Alert button, you should be getting the Chart Drawing Alert window as noted in the above documentation. It should always come up right on top of the Drawing Properties window. If you are not seeing it, then select Window >> Reset Windows and see if it will come up after that.
