Hi Team - I would like to understand how you are handling NYSE stocks for Open on Daily charts. It seem you are using the 9:30 session time vs the 'Market Center Official Open' with exchange code Q for Nyse stocks? NYSE DMM will resolve imbalances before opening the security officially. For example on 2021-11-10 DMM opened DASH $220 9:31:31 vs the Open you show as $223.58 Thank you |

Thank you. Might help someone in the future searching the support forums: I reached out to Barcharts. Like many data providers they ignore the CTS data specification on this point- From memory Interactive Brokers was the main one who handles it correctly. I get that its simpler to just go first print post 9:30 ET but that is essentially a pre-market opening print. It's predominantly an issue for NYSE stocks when there is an imbalance on open (and close) and can't be auto opened. ---- Hello, Thanks for contacting Barchart. Our Open price is created by the first legitimate trade of the day, which may or may not be the same as the market center official open. Let me know if you have any other questions! --- Kind Regards, |
