Currency Value Per Tick setting in chart is not updated if symbol is changed from Watch List. For example, change from USDJPY/USD.JPY-CASH-IDEALPRO to EURUSD/EUR.USD-CASH-IDEALPRO. This will happen only if 'Trade/Quote Symbol' is used in Global Symbol Settings.

We are not able to reproduce what you are seeing. When we change symbols using the Watch List, the Currency Value per Tick is updating properly.

The only thing we can think is to check your symbol settings for those two symbols and ensure they are set to the values they should be and that they are different. When you change the symbol using the Watch List, it should update the Chart Settings to the information in the symbol settings.

I further test that this problem only happened in the connection to IB. The same settings using SC data service is working fine.

The following are the steps of reproducing the issue:
1) Create the watchlist with symbols: EURUSD, AUDUSD, GBPUSD, NZDUSD, USDJPY, USDCAD, GBPJPY.
2) Find the IB symbol for each SC symbol above and add to the 'Trade/Quote Symbol' setting for each SC symbol. E.g. Add 'USD.JPY-CASH-IDEALPRO' as 'Trade/Quote Symbol' for USDJPY.
3) In the chart Settings, check on the selection box of 'Use As Trade Only Symbol'.
4) Connect to IB service.
5) Switch symbol with watchlist, observe 'Currency Value Per Tick' in Chart Settings->Advanced Settings 2.
5.1) Select EURUSD, 'Currency Value Per Tick' is 0.00005.
5.2) Select USDJPY, 'Currency Value Per Tick' is 0.00005.
5.3) Select GBPJPY, 'Currency Value Per Tick' is 0.005.
5.4) Select EURUSD, 'Currency Value Per Tick' is 0.005.
5.5) Select AUDUSD, 'Currency Value Per Tick' is 0.00005.
5.6) Select EURUSD, 'Currency Value Per Tick' is 0.00005.

6) Switch connection to SC data service, and repeat the testing in step 5 and the results are correct.

Can confirm this is still an issue for me as well (connected to IB, using SC data)

When I switch a symbol using the watchlist or quoteboard, it does not update the currency value per tick when using a trade symbol. I have to then go into the chart settings, and click "apply global symbol settings" to correct it.

Obviously a low-priority issue.

Hey there, I seem to be having a similar issue with a fresh install using IB / IDEALPro where I think the tick sizes may not be quite correct.

You need to set the Tick Size to what you require. Refer to the following:
Chart Settings: Tick Size (Chart >> Chart Settings >> Symbol >> Symbol Settings menu)

And you will also want to change the "Price Display Format" based on what you are using for the Tick Size. Refer to the following:
Chart Settings: Price Display Format (Chart >> Chart Settings >> Symbol >> Symbol Settings menu)

We expect post #5 to be resolved in the next release. We did not test the specific scenario but we see why there is a problem when you specify a Trade Symbol in the Global Symbol Settings.
