Study to Show Chart Timeframe in Larger Text?

Hello, As someone who changes timeframes frequently on a very large chart, it would be helpful if there is a study that would show the current timeframe in large text, which I would set to be something of a watermark. There is a symbol study which I use to show the current symbol. Is there a similar study or other workaround to achieve this? I have also enabled the feature of showing it on the chart tab, but it is hard to see quickly in that way. Thanks for any help, Mike T |

The easiest way to do this is to use the Spreadsheet Study and subtract the times in Column A to get the bar period. Then depending on how you want to display the information you will want to adjust your formula from there. Refer to the following information for the Spreadsheet Study: Using the Spreadsheet Study Then, you will use the Text Display for Study to display the value prominently where you want it. Refer to the following: Text Display For Study For example, to display the bar period in seconds, you would enter the following in cell K3: =(A3 - A4) * 24 * 60 * 60 The 24 * 60 * 60 is for 24 hours in a day, 60 minutes in an hour and 60 seconds in a minute. Therefore, if you just wanted it in minutes, you could remove the last * 60. ----------------- We also think the user Ackin, who has a lot of studies may have one that does this based on the actual bar period settings (you can get to that through the ACSIL interface). I'm so glad you mentioned Ackin/Zyp in this response as I have now been communicating with him and am blown away by his studies and forum! SierraChart had already become everything I had been looking for in my platform, offering so many of the features I couldn't find anywhere else. In fact, I had paid very good money to improve the features on MT4, JForex and cTrader. Moving to SierraChart has been a joy, every time I look under the hood, I find more features that make trading smoother and easier for me to manage. However, adding in the studies from Ackin was like Christmas morning for kids! :) There are so many useful tools, whether someone is a price action or order flow guy, or both... I could say the same thing for Ticino's awesome chartbooks and for the community following Trade_Your_Plan. Excellent materials and fascinating people! It seems to me that such a high caliber of people are attracted to SierraChart's community - perhaps because the program is naturally attractive to personality types that enjoy digging into the details without much fluff while offering a barrier to entry for anyone looking for a quick fix...
