Hello, I recently had to reinstall Sierra Chart due to issues with my PC. I had saved off my chartbooks and study collections but not my .dly files. I had about 12 years of daily ES and NQ futures data, and thought that I could get that back again, but I can't seem to get more than a year. I'm an Interactive Brokers customer. So, what is the best and/or easiest way to get multiple years of daily historical data? I've looked at multiple support board posts regarding this but I'm still a bit in the dark as to how to best go about this. |

The problem you are having is simply due to Interactive Brokers not supplying the historical data far enough back for what you want. The easiest way to get that data back would be to change your Global Settings >> Data/Trade Service Settings >> Current Selected Service to SC Data - All Services then open historical charts for the symbols for which you want to get the historical data. Make sure you set your date range for how you want it to get far enough back. Then, when you have that data downloaded, you would change your service setting back to IB. You would then need to change the filenames of the recently downloaded .dly files to match the symbols you are using for IB. For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service: Sierra Chart Teton Futures Order Routing |
