I'm running the Daily OHLC study on a 6 tick Renko chart of the RTY. I'm drawing the High, Low, Open, and Mid (HL Avg). I'm finding the Mid is not being calculated until well after the session open. My chart is set with two session times - 08:30:00-15:00:00 and 15:00:00-08:29:59.9 It seems to be plotting the open correctly, and the high (this morning from what I can see), but the low and mid were not plotted correctly until 13 minutes after the open. Is this study perhaps designed to be used with a time chart in which case I should load it onto a chart set to time and use the study price overlay to plot it onto this chart?? |

You should not be having any issues with the study on a Renko chart. The one thing we want to check is that you state your session times are the following: 08:30:00-15:00:00 and 15:00:00-08:29:59.9
Does your regular trading hours actually have an end time of 15:00:00? It should be 14:59:59. Please make this change if you need to and see if it makes any difference. Otherwise, please give us an image of what you are seeing in your chart so we can better understand the situation. Interesting. it was the 14:59:59 that made the difference. I would never have gotten there. Thanks John. |
