This data was adjusted near the time of the split. So no further adjustment was needed. Re-download all the data in the chart by going to the chart and selecting "Edit >> Delete All Data and Download". You just need to do this once per symbol and not for each chart. Bump - NVDA stock split for 6/10 requested. Thanks! EDIT: I've done the 10:1 split method within SC for today's session. Works without flaws on my end. Thanks for the reply below! Date Time Of Last Edit: 2024-06-10 14:01:25

Stock splits are handled automatically at 9 PM Eastern time, on the day of the split. Prior data is not adjusted until after the split actually occurs and there is one day of data for a reference point. So after 9 PM today: Re-download all the data in the chart by going to the chart and selecting "Edit >> Delete All Data and Download" from the main Sierra Chart menu. You just need to do this once per symbol and not for each chart. This command is on the main Sierra Chart menu at the top. Only use it from that location. Is there some way that this can work more seemlessly such that if we want to trade NVDA the first day of the split that our charts can take the split into account? Most charting programs I've used in the past seem to handle loading the adjusted data automatically the first day of the split. I understand sierra is not like other programs. I don't mind the delete all data and download part. But if this can only be done after you've handled it 9p after the day is done, is the workaround for things to work during the first day? Can it be handled prior to 9AM? Thanks |

You are able to adjust the data yourself at any time without having to wait for our systems to do it: Adjusting Data We should have mentioned that yesterday but initially we had not thought of it because we have just been relying on automatic adjustments for some time now. It is definitely inherently unsafe for us to be adjusting data the day of the split before the open. There simply is no way to validate if the adjustment is valid. We will never do that. We will only get into trouble by doing that. Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. Other responses are from users.
