is there a way to create a rectangle that is 15 ticks in height and breadth can be any size, but i need the drawing dimension to be fixed and not change but can move the whole drawing object on the chart without the dimensions changing? In a sense lock the dimensions of the drawing but not lock the drawing, so that i can move it around the chart freely. |

There is not support for this kind of functionality within Sierra Chart. You could program the capability, by always checking the size of the rectangle and resizing it if it gets changed by the user. There is not a direct way to show the rectangle height in ticks. As workarounds, you can view the upper and lower price levels and then determine the height in ticks from those. Refer to the following regarding Price Labels: Chart Drawing Tools: Rectangle | Extending Rectangle | Ellipse | Triangle Configuration You can also use the Calculator Tool to determine the height in ticks by drawing from the top of the rectangle to the bottom and turning on the option for Tick Difference.
